Since the next day was Halloween, Gay Parent magazine’s monthly staff meeting was held at Jekyll and Hyde’s entertainment restaurant in Greenwich Village (New York City). Although not much work was accomplished, the staff had a fun time. Left to right: Merrily, Jenn, Angeline, Ben, Todd, and Vivian (click photo to view larger).

National Coming Out Day 2013

Last year, for National Coming Out Day, we posted on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/gay.parent.magazine): In a few words, what was your coming out like? We enjoyed the answers we received and decided to share them on our blog. The answers were fascinating and emotional, ranging from scary, being rejected, painful, to liberating. A few were funny as Stephen Foster wrote, “I pretty much came out of the womb in high heels and a feather boa.” While Alec Tucker wrote, “Came out twice. As a lesbian and 15 years later as a trans man.” Click on the images below to read more coming out statements.
